HumanBacked collects only the information needed to publish endorsements, maintain the ranking, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
Information we collect
When you register with LinkedIn, we receive your account identifier, name, profile photo, email address, headline, and public profile link. We also store the reason you give for choosing your best skill, endorsements, ranking activity, and basic page-view and LinkedIn-click counts.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. HumanBacked receives payment status and transaction identifiers, but does not store your full card number.
How we use and share data
We use this information to operate HumanBacked, show public endorsements you choose to attach your identity to, support the ranking, and protect the service. We share data only with providers needed to run these functions, such as LinkedIn, Stripe, and our hosting providers. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
Registration through a public LinkedIn profile is required before joining a ranking, paying $1, creating an endorsement, or approving one. Your registration answer is public with your first self-endorsement. Endorsements from other people stay private until you approve them. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account by contacting the site owner through HumanBacked.
